The ingredients that are used in Courtney's Dope Soap are premium and sustainably sourced. The only product that you may question whether or not it is all natural is the Lye. This is required in ANY soap making process, and by the time the oils and lye have gone through the chemical transformation called saponification to become soap, there is no longer any lye left in the final product that is coming to you! Mica powders are used to color the different soaps, which are derived from minerals. All ingredients that are used in our soap are easily read and identified with no tricks to hide harmful chemicals.

In short, no. Courtney's Dope Soap is not organic. Organic is a term used in relation to food, to identify food that is free of chemical fertilizers, genetic-modification and additives such as preservatives and colourings. Increasingly, the term “organic” is being applied to skincare, though the definition for “organic” skincare is vague. Lye is on the USDA's list for allowable non-organic ingredients included in organic standards, however all of the oils that are used in Courtney's Dope soap are not organic. They are however, sustainably sourced and all food grade to ensure some of the best oils are going into the soap that you will use on your skin.

While Courtney's Dope Sope is created to be as gentle on and nourishing to the skin as possible, it is possible to be allergic to almost anything, including naturally-occurring substances and matter. Allergic reactions are rare, but are possible. If you suspect sensitivity to an ingredient, please conduct a patch test first, on a small area of your skin.

Courtney's Dope Soap is made using raw cow milk, so it would not be considered vegan-friendly.

Absolutely! Due to the curing process, orders need to be made a minimum of 5 weeks prior to the time that you need the soap.
